This new spot located on the site of the former Maison Blanche is already one to be reckoned with. The White 1921 hotel will have eight guest rooms and suites in a chic, contemporary setting, with a lounge bar designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte in a Mediterranean garden.

“I wanted an effervescent bar - a bar in shades of white”, announced Jean-Michel Wilmotte. “I have created a veritable centrepiece for the White 1921 - a corner bar, the front of which is covered in backlit, silk-screened white glass. Extending from the bar is a generously proportioned table d’hôtes, creating a strong link between the garden and the interior of the mansion.”

The cellar contains superior champagnes (Krug, Dom Pérignon, Ruinart, Veuve Clicquot and Moët & Chandon) that can be tasted by the glass. To give the experience further sparkle, the cellarmasters have created gourmet fusion: Krug with white truffle popcorn, Dom Pérignon and mature Mimolette cheese cannelé cakes, Veuve Clicquot Rosé with fresh berries, etc.

The one-of-a-kind 1964 Shelby Cobra 427 Prototype s/n CSX 2196, nicknamed “The Flip-Top” for its unique clam shell design, is set to cross the block at RM’s Automobiles of Arizona event at the Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix o.Its design, build, development and racing were spearheaded by legendary racing driver Ken Miles and after months of testing and modifications, 2196 became the only prototype produced for the famed 427 Cobras that followed. It was raced in period at Riverside, Sebring and Nassau.Over the years, 2196 has competed in many of the world’s historic races including Laguna Seca, Monterey Historics and Goodwood Festival of Speed. Today, the well-documented Flip-top sports its original livery of Guardman Blue with white stripes and black interior, and is unquestionably one of the most desirable Shelby Cobras ever built. HESSEN'S 65 m NEW SUPER-YACHT

The new generation of yachts are taking their design cues from island living. And, so the yacht manufacturers are incorporating innovative ways to get easy accesses to the sea. Heesen yacht has also unveiled their latest 65m Fast Displacement (FDHF) superyacht concept designed by Omega Architects to create a “terrace on the sea.” Heesen 65m yachts exterior and the yacht features space for up to 12 guests in six beautiful cabins and can accommodate a crew of 13. The superyacht features a duplex beach club located aft on the main and lower decks with a 10 square meter side balcony on the port side and 22 square meter swimming pool platform. The lower deck features a sauna, hammam, shower room, day head and a fully equipped bar. The highlight of the Heesen motoryacht is the glass bottom of swimming-pool located on the main deck which gives it a spacious feel and allows the effect created by natural light shimmering through the water to the bar area beneath. IWANA 87 meters yacht. RULE BREAKER - DREAM MAKER

Following the international media coverage generated by the Iwana 85m concept at the Monaco Yacht Show the project now see’s the concept taken into 3D and showing a fresh thinking approach to the styling of a 87m Superyacht while maintaining a classic bow. 

The main superstructure takes its form from the head of a Dragon while the decks and communication tower are inspired by the dorsal crests of Dragons and beautiful marine iguanas. Something new, exciting and ‘moving the game on’. Similar to panoramic roof windows on modern cars, the super structure integrates a full length, panoramic roof window running over the yacht. This incorporates a solar panel system in the ‘Magic Smart Glass’. All glass on the yacht is electronically and colour switchable changeing instantly for privacy, sun/glare protection and visual entertainment.

There appears to be huge expanses of glass used in the yacht. Obviously due to current manufacturing capabilities, a one piece large glazing structure can not be viably produced. Therefore an automotive glazing and bodywork technique is applied in ‘colourway break’. This in essence disguises the supporting structures behind the glass giving a visual impression of one continuous piece of material. The amount of natural daylight that enters the yacht is on another scale altogether.

In order to extend and maximise deck space aft, the hull opens into two, fold down, roll out, and wrap around bathing platforms. The inspiration for this comes from the sun loving, hood expanding, frill-necked lizards in hot countries. The platform incorporates part of the aft hull window turning into a partial glass bottomed floor allowing for the observation of underwater marine life and habitats. Owner decided, A-symmetrical fold out beach platform and seperate tender garage is a possibility as with many features on a yacht.  On the main deck, a social and relaxation zone, a swimming pool aft gives uninterupted views of the sea and sun bathing for guests. A jacuzzi located on the owners private dinning deck gives spectacular views from the yacht and plenty of room for invited guests. The upper deck sees a very private retreat for the owner inaddition to the private dinning deck. We have not cluttered the decks with excess furniture prefering to keep things simple.

Lighting is subtle around the superstructure, stairs and decks. The superstructure appears to float aft with lighting recessed at the base and a series of features cut into the structure. This along with the three main ‘window slashes’ cut into the superstructure and once lit at 100% gives for a spectacular scene.

The transom and/or tender garage can hold a personal submersible housed longitudinally, craned out, rotated 90° once clear of the transom door and then winch lowered into the water. Custom tenders and toys are under development matching the exterior styling and livery of the yacht. Water toys include waverunners, sea scooters, windsurfers, kayaks, waterskis, wakeboards and a whole range of scuba and fishing gear are standard.
